I am Dorte Fjalland. I am from Copenhagen, Denmark, and I have lived in several places in South America, in Thailand, The Philippines, South Africa, and Austria before I came to live in Spain about 10 years ago. I have two adult children and three grandchildren, so far, who all live in Copenhagen. This makes me travel up there regularly.

Based in Álora, a small town about 40 km inland from Málaga, where I enjoy the beautiful Andalusian nature and clean air.

I work as a  freelance translator. I am also a keen photographer.

Photography is a passion and a creative outlet for me. I photograph where I am and always carry my camera with me as every moment is a chance to capture something. Taking images is meditative and absorbing and I love that you can always learn new things.

I am a member of SFM – Sociedad Fotográfica de Málaga. I used to have a blog here and before September 2011 here.

Any questions, comments or information about my photography | pricing | availability, send me an email. I’m always in for interesting and/or fun collaborations and projects.

Some of my images are also available for licensing on Getty Images and Shutterstock.

Very recently I bought a small lemon farm. I may let you know how that goes here.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a translation or photography project for me.
